Talent Acquisition Specialist
Join Oritain as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, owning end-to-end hiring, building diverse global teams, and power a mission to protect people and planet through science-led supply chain integrity.
Oritain is the global leader in product origin verification, with locations in Auckland, Dunedin, London, Singapore and Washington D.C.
Our Mission: Science, Technology, and Global Impact
Our organisation sits at the intersection of forensic science and supply chain technology. We harness science and services to verify the genuine origin of materials, building an interconnected community of verified buyers and suppliers. Our mission is critical: to protect people and the planet by ensuring transparency and integrity in global supply chains.
We are now looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support with securing the best talent to deliver this mission at scale.
About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in attracting, engaging, and supporting both internal and external talent through the end-to-end recruitment process at Oritain, delivering a high-quality, inclusive candidate experience at every step of the process.
Partnering closely with hiring managers and candidates, you’ll make sure every interaction reflects our culture, values, and ambition.
This is a fast-paced, varied role that calls for energy, adaptability, and a genuine passion for people.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be at the heart of our hiring story- finding and bringing in the people who make Oritain great. From writing inclusive, brand-aligned job adverts to proactively sourcing and screening top talent, and providing timely and constructive feedback, you’ll build strong pipelines that keep pace with our global growth. You’ll manage the full recruitment lifecycle, balancing quality, speed, and candidate care to deliver a first-class experience from start to finish.
Working closely with hiring managers across regions, you’ll help define what “great” looks like in every role and coordinate interviews and assessments that are smooth, professional, and well-organised. You’ll guide candidates through each stage with clarity and empathy- from first conversation to offer, working closely with other members of the People and Culture team to provide seamless onboarding- ensuring every new joiner feels supported and valued from day one.
Behind the scenes, you’ll keep recruitment data accurate, track progress, and share meaningful insights that inform smarter decisions. You’ll also get involved in broader HR initiatives- from onboarding coordination to process improvements- championing continuous improvement and helping strengthen our employer brand at every opportunity.
Skills & Experience
You bring hands-on experience in recruitment (agency or in-house) where you’ve built trusted relationships and delivered results at pace in a high-growth environment. You understand the full recruitment lifecycle and know how to manage multiple roles without compromising on quality or candidate experience.
You’re organised, adaptable, and detail-driven, but what really sets you apart is your communication style- confident, empathetic, and people-focused at every interaction. You build trust quickly with hiring managers and candidates alike and know how to make every touchpoint feel human.
You’re comfortable using HR systems and ATS platforms to keep things running smoothly (experience with HiBob or TeamTailor is a bonus) and confident working with data and reporting tools like Excel. If you have experience hiring for Commercial/ Go To Market and Corporate teams, even better- that insight will help you hit the ground running.
Above all, you bring energy, initiative, and a genuine passion for creating an exceptional people experience in a fast-moving, global environment.
