Accounting, Reporting & Treasury Lead
Lead global accounting, reporting and treasury at a mission-driven, fast-growth company. Build scalable finance, partner with teams, and drive meaningful impact.
Oritain is the global leader in product origin verification, with locations in Auckland, Dunedin, London, Singapore and Washington D.C.
We sit at the intersection of forensic science and supply chain technology, harnessing science and data to verify the genuine origin of materials across the world's most critical commodities. Our mission is to protect people and the planet by ensuring transparency and integrity in global supply chains.
As demand for supply chain transparency continues to grow, so does our ambition, and we are now seeking an Accounting, Reporting & Treasury Lead to join our London finance team at an exciting moment in our journey.
About the Role
The Accounting, Reporting & Treasury Lead is a hands-on senior finance role responsible for leading all management and statutory financial reporting across Oritain's global entities, alongside treasury management, audit delivery, and finance policy development.
Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations, Policy & Reporting and leading a team of three Management Accountants, you will be the custodian of financial governance and reporting excellence across the group. This is a technically demanding role that also requires the commercial mindset and interpersonal skills to partner effectively with FP&A and wider business teams.
For a technically strong accountant who wants to build and embed genuinely scalable finance practices in a fast-growing, mission-driven business, this is a compelling opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
You will own and continuously improve management and statutory financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with UK and NZ IFRS GAAP across all entities.
You will lead the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts, regulatory filings and technical memos, and manage treasury operations including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, liquidity management and investment oversight.
You will design, implement and embed scalable finance policies and procedures, ensure group-wide compliance with internal controls and external reporting standards, and lead audit delivery, coordinating effectively with external auditors to ensure timely, clean completion.
Partnering closely with FP&A and wider finance teams, you will drive automation and system improvements across financial reporting and treasury operations, leveraging tools such as NetSuite, Power BI and Excel, and championing the adoption of scalable AI solutions. You will also develop documentation and training materials, monitor operational KPIs, and lead and mentor your team of three with a focus on accountability, continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Skills & Experience
You are a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical accounting, statutory reporting and treasury expertise, and a minimum of five years' experience in financial reporting, treasury or audit roles, ideally gained in a high-growth or international environment.
You bring a proven track record of designing and embedding finance processes and policies, including AI adoption, and strong systems knowledge across NetSuite (or a similar ERP), Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI. You have excellent attention to detail, an analytical mindset, and the communication skills to influence stakeholders and drive change.
Experience managing and developing high-performing teams is essential, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a hands-on approach.
