Drive the transformation of finance systems at a mission‑driven, fast‑growth global team. Build scalable automation, stronger controls, and clear insights that enable responsible growth.
Oritain is the global leader in product origin verification, with locations in Auckland, Dunedin, London, Singapore and Washington D.C.
We sit at the intersection of forensic science and supply chain technology, harnessing science and data to verify the genuine origin of materials across the world's most critical commodities. Our mission is to protect people and the planet by ensuring transparency and integrity in global supply chains.
As demand for supply chain transparency continues to grow, so does our ambition, and we are now seeking a Finance Systems & Operations Lead to own and drive the transformation of our finance systems and processes from our London office.
About the Role
The Finance Systems & Operations Lead owns the design, optimisation and delivery of finance systems and processes across Oritain, ensuring scalable, automated, and well-controlled solutions that support efficient finance operations globally.
Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations, Policy & Reporting and leading a team of two (an Accounts Receivable Clerk and an Accounts Payable Clerk), you will act as the bridge between finance, the business and IT, leading system enhancements, automation initiatives and process redesign to improve data integrity, reporting quality and operational efficiency.
While you will maintain oversight of core transactional activities including AR, AP, purchase orders and invoicing, the real focus of this role is on embedding robust, technology-enabled processes that strengthen financial control, enable better decision-making, and support business growth. For someone energised by systems transformation and AI adoption, this is a genuinely exciting opportunity to shape how finance operates at a scaling global business.
Key Responsibilities
You will shape and deliver the finance system, data and process transformation roadmap for the group, championing AI adoption and leading the introduction of scalable AI solutions into finance processes.
You will own and manage finance systems and integrations, ensuring performance, security and data integrity, and lead system upgrades, implementations and enhancements, including in NetSuite ERP, with effective change management throughout. You will represent Finance in organisation-wide transformation forums and act as a driving force for enterprise-wide process improvement.
You will lead month-end close for operational finance, track KPIs to drive performance and data quality, and oversee AR and AP processes to ensure timely invoicing, collections, payments and reconciliations. Supporting cash management and working capital through monitoring and short-term forecasting will also be part of your remit, as will maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring compliance with policies, audits and regulations.
You will partner closely with finance, IT and business teams to resolve issues and continuously improve processes and systems, and be a visible catalyst for automation and continuous improvement across the function.
Skills & Experience
You are a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or hold equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of finance processes and controls and hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP or Oracle, alongside reporting tools like Power BI and operational platforms such as Salesforce.
You bring proven experience leading AI adoption and utilisation across financial operations and/or finance reporting, as well as a strong technical capability in system configuration, data management and automation. Your background spans finance operations and finance systems including AR/AP, ERP management and process improvement.
You are an effective communicator who can translate business needs into system solutions and build strong stakeholder relationships, with experience supporting system users, delivering training and driving adoption of new tools. Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment, you bring a proactive, hands-on approach; team leadership experience is desirable.
